A self-taught artist, his career began in 1970, during the course of which he achieved widespread recognition.
Through humor and language, his work played with religious imagery from MedellĂn’s popular culture, tableware, and common dining conventions. Collage, installation, silkscreen printing, and mail art were common techniques in his practice.
His work is part of the collections of the Banco de la RepĂşblica, Museo de Arte Moderno de MedellĂn, Suramericana, Museo de Antioquia, and Museo de Arte de Pereira.
