Drawing is one of the first thinking exteriorizations recorded in human history.
Cave paintings commonly include strokes that in just a few gestures, figures such as men, animals and hand negatives are represented as well as abstract formations; in these, the desire of representing one's world is captured and so is the universe in a cosmogony of men and deities. In addition, we cannot stop ourselves from acknowledging a thinking task in these stratagems, when registering with them a conscious narrative of hunting processes, living creatures' environments and the yearning for portraying for others a record of a significant world.
'Dibujar cómo pensar' proposes to appreciate within drawing as a technique a magical function in which notions such as narration, the past, the future, imagination and the universe of ideas converge and when the process of drawing itself is manifested as a thinking activity. Under these premises and the idea of challenging the support, technique and material nature of drawing, we gather a series of different works of art belonging to different artists that while aiming for a wide spectrum of possibilities oscillate between desire and spontaneity from a "naive" or "naif" language to a technical and rational representation of reality.
