He studied Visual Arts at the University of Antioquia and a Master's Degree in Artistic Production at the National University. He has participated in exhibitions nationally and internationally, and among the distinctions obtained are: first prize at the XIX Salón Arturo y Rebeca Rabinovich, MAMM (1999), nomination for the VII Premio Luis Caballero, Bogotá (2012) and winner of the CIFO's Grants & Commissions: Mid Career Artist program, Florida, United States (2016).
