It appears that the time of grandiose gestures in art today has surrendered to introspection and contemplation. Among the proposals received to the open call for sculpture and drawing in small format, made by La Balsa Arte, these words resound. Although they suggest passivity, looking closely they reveal persistence.

Hay infinitos más pequeños que otros is a selection of pieces where introspection and contemplation appear through the accumulation of repeated actions to fabricate a tangible version of the immensity of the world. The seemingly simple gestures of touching the earth, walking without destination, drawing, collecting, sewing, firing, assembling, modeling, when they turn into a long dialogue with the material, they become a craft.

In the gathering of these small objects, there is a universe formed by chance and coincidence in time. It is an invitation to be amazed by the ordinary, to poeticize the end of the world, to make gardens on paper, to preserve memory as a pickle, and why not, to see catastrophe with humor.

His experimentation revolves around the ideas of line, color and light, with these ...
